List Attributes are not filled as expected in Campaigns

Question  

Why are List Attributes in Marketing Automation campaigns not deployed with the expected data?

Answer

Changes made to a List Definition are not automatically made to the Automation lists created from that Definition.  After changing the Attributes in your List Definition, you must sync the changes to any 'child' lists made from that definition. To do this:

  1. Go to LISTS > LIST DEFINITIONS.
  2. Click VIEW LISTS next to the definition associated with the Automation Campaign.
  3. Select the Automation list to update, or select all to update every child list.
  4. Click SYNC LISTS.

Any changes that have been made to the Definition will be applied to all selected child lists. This is the only way to edit lists from Automation campaigns.
