Question

When running the Content Analysis tool on a Template, the following item is included in the score:​

HTML_MISSING_CTYPE:  Message is HTML without HTML Content-Type

What does that mean and how do I fix my Template so points are not generated for that?

Answer

There are two possible solutions to this issue:

  1. Contact Technical Support to schedule an update of your Broadcaster to v8.2.10 or later.
  2. The "Missing CTYPE" score returned in the Content Analysis tool is due to SpamAssassin finding HTML code that doesn't specify that it is such. The way around this is to remove the HTML tags from the Template.  The <HTML> tags are not necessary in an email message and can be removed.  Some email clients will even strip them from the message received.
