Overview
Each Preference Site allows you to customize an error landing page. Contacts will be redirected to this page if an error occurs when their request is processed. If a custom page is not defined, then the system will display a default error page.
To Define an Error Page
- Go to CONTACTS > PREFERENCE SITES and click the site to edit.
- Click DEFINE ERROR PAGE.
- Enter a Page Title, then click OK.
- If you have a style sheet, enter the URL, otherwise leave blank, then click OK.
- In the Preference Site Page Editor page, define your Error Page content. To display the actualy system error to the contact, insert the following tag:
${error}
For example:
An error has occured. ${error}. Your subscription attempt has failed. Please try again, or contact us for more information.
- Click SAVE to save your Error Page, then click NO to create another page.
To Edit an Error Page
If an Error Page has already been defined, the Define Error Page button will appear as Edit Error Page, and you will receive no prompts to enter a Title or Style Sheet.
- Go to CONTACTS > PREFERENCE SITES and click the site to edit.
- Click EDIT ERROR PAGE.
- In the Preference Site Page Editor page, make your changes.
- Click SAVE to save your Error Page, then click NO to create another page.
