How do I allow my realm to use Relational Data?
Relational DB is enabled at the realm level, and accessible to enable only by Super Users and users with the Employee Flag enabled.
A Realm must first be created and assigned to its own database shard before the option to enable Relational DB is available.
To enable Relational DB:
- Go to CUSTOMER CENTER > REALM MANAGEMENT > EDIT REALM.
- In the edit options, select the check box EDIT STORAGE OPTION.
- By default the table depth (number of tables from the subscriber table) will be set to 2 and number of columns (per table) will be 30. If the realm requires more, check with DevOps before editing.
- Click CREATE.
To VERIFY Relational DB has been enabled:
An easy way to verify if Relational DB has been enabled:
- SUBSCRIBERS > RELATIONAL TABLES
If Relational DB has not been enabled, the Relational Tables tool will not be available in the dropdown menu.
