Accessing the API

Every API request must include an authentication code that identifies and authenticates the user against the proper realm within the platform.  This is identified in the API call as the password (pwd or p).  This password is used for the FTP, XML FTP, and HTTP APIs.

To generate the password, login to the platform and then go to CUSTOMER CENTER > API MANAGEMENT > SETUP API.

If you do not see a password in bold, red text, click Generate Password.  The page will refresh and display your password.

Changing the password invalidates any files or API calls using the old code.  If the authentication code already exists and you regenerate it, make sure to notify everyone using any of the APIs.

You must have the API feature enabled in your realm in order to use it.  If you do not see an option to Setup your API, please contact support.
