The Campaign Report Wizard allows you to generate an overview report to compare campaign statistics.

Feature

The Campaign Report Wizard can be accessed by any user with Editor, List Manager, or Editor permissions.

Accessing the Campaign Report Wizard

The Campaign Report Wizard is accessed from the Reports menu.  To open the page, go REPORTS > GENERATE REPORT > CAMPAIGN REPORT WIZARD.  The first page of the wizard displays allowing you to make selections to create a report.

Running a Report

To create a Campaign Report:

  1. Go to REPORTS > GENERATE REPORT > CAMPAIGN REPORT WIZARD.
  2. Select campaigns to compare based on filter critera by: Campaign Date.
    1. Enter a From and To date in the format mm/dd/yyyy to find Campaigns run within the range.  Click the Calendar icon next to the textbox to browse for a date.  From date is required. The To date will default to today's date if left blank.
    2. Optionally, enter part or all of the List Name of the list associated to the campaign in the List/Campaign Name contains field. Only campaigns run from Lists matching all or part of the text string will be included in the search results.  For example, if you have three lists with the string "Monthly" in the name, all campaigns for those three list will be found.
    3. Optionally, enter a Minimum number of pieces sent.  Only campaigns that have been sent to at least that number of subscribers will be included in the search results.  For example, if you run test segments to 10 subscribers each, and only want to report on the full campaigns to your subscriber base, enter a number greater than 10.  If you enter 11, all campaigns sent to 11 or more subscribers will be found.
    4. If you wish to include Hidden Campaigns in your report, select Display Hidden Campaigns.
    5. Click VIEW RESULTS. All Campaigns matching the search criteria will be displayed including Campaign ID, List Name, Template Name and Segmentation Rule (in parenthesis), Date Sent, and Pieces Sent
    6. Select one or more campaigns, then click NEXT.
  3. Select Subscriber options and Events.
    1. Select one or more Event Types.  At least one Event must be selected to continue. Events include basic tracking for Opens and Clicks, as well as tracking for Social Sharing and Video.
    2. Select Subscriber Custom Data to create sub-reports within the same file displaying the associations of the number of events per subscribers with specific custom data.
    3. Select Browser/Device Info.  This allows you to include the Operating System, Browser, and Client Type statistics for Opens or Clicks.
    4. Click NEXT.
  4. Select result file options.
    1. Enter a Report Name.  If none is defined, a default name is in the format "Custom Report for [user name].ext".  If a report of the same name already exists, it will be overwritten.
    2. Select the Date Format to display the dates in the report: yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss ZZZ OR mm/dd/yy hh:mm am/pm
    3. Select the Report Format to save the file: Comma Separated CSV file, Tab Delimited Text file, or HTML.
    4. Select Quote Text to surround the data fields with quotation marks.  This could be helpful if there are characters in the data fields that could be interpreted as a delimiter, such as a comma in a List Name.
    5. Select Notify to have an email sent to you when the report file is complete.
  5. Click SUBMIT.

The progress page will display and the report will run.  You may navigate away from this page while the report is running.  When the report is complete, you will receive an email notification if you selected the option. You can access the completed report from REPORTS > FILE MANAGER under the Reports folder.

NOTE: Do not simply select Select All unless you are certain you need all the data.  It is a good idea to run a simple version of your report first to make sure the data will be necessary, as a report with all options selected can take many hours to complete, especially for many or larger campaigns.  You many select all Events, but the association of the Custom Data for every event will result in a very time and system resource consuming report.
