Salesforce Marketing Cloud

Once your data has been loaded into WhatCount's systems, WhatCounts will need to gain access to your Salesforce Marketing Cloud account so that your retention marketing data will be available there.

Create a User Account 

  1. Log into Salesforce Marketing Cloud. In the top right hand corner of your homepage, hover over the “Welcome” portion. A dropdown menu will appear. Click on “Administration”: Screen_Shot_2016-10-13_at_10.26.07_AM.png
     
  2. Hover over the Account Tab for the dropdown menu to appear. Click “Users”:Screen_Shot_2016-10-12_at_4.16.49_PM.png

  4. Fill in the settings as follows:
  • General Settings:
    • Name: Windsor Circle
    • Reply Email Address: wc.esp@windsorcircle.com
    • Notification Email Address: wc.esp@windsorcircle.com
    • Username: WC<your_business_name>
    • Time Zone: (GMT -5:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)
    • Culture Code: English (United States)
    • Check “API User”
    • Set a secure initial password and send it to your Onboarding Project Manager via Privnote
  • Under “Marketing Cloud Permissions and Roles”:
    • Check both “Email” and “Automation Studio”
    • Select “Marketing Cloud Administrator”

Depending on the version you are using, this page should look like something like the screen shot below:

  • The account owner will also need to enable the permissions below (should be checked/selected):
    • User permissions
      • Create/View Accounts
      • Administrative Data Management
      • Grant the user access to the web services
      • Allow user to Approve emails
      • Manage Data Extension Data and Retention Policy
    • Marketing Cloud Permissions and Roles
      • Select Applications for user:
        • Email
        • Automation Studio
      • Specify Marketing Cloud Roles for user:
        • Marketing Cloud Administrator

 

  • Click the “Save” button at the top of the menu

Create an API User Account 

  1. Follow steps 1-4 in Phase A to create another new user
  2. Fill in the settings as follows:
  • General Settings:
    • Name: Windsor Circle_API 
    • Reply Email Address: wc.esp@windsorcircle.com
    • Notification Email Address: wc.esp@windsorcircle.com
    • Username: WC<your_business_name>_API
    • Time Zone: (GMT -5:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)
    • Culture Code: English (United States)
    • Check “API User”
    • Set a secure initial password and send it to your Onboarding Project Manager via Privnote
  • Under “Marketing Cloud Permissions and Roles”:
    • Check both “Email” and “Automation Studio”
    • Select “Marketing Cloud Administrator”
  • Click the “Save” button at the top of the menu

Share your FTP Credentials

When you first signed up with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, they gave you an FTP account with a username and password. Please send us this information along with the two passwords you created in Phase A and B via www.privnote.com.
 
If you don’t have these FTP credentials, check with Salesforce Marketing Cloud. They should be able to provide them to you.

Each Customer is responsible for obtaining the requisite consent in accordance with applicable law from its customers and third parties for us to collect and use the Target Data as necessary for the provisioning of the Windsor Circle Services. Customer is solely responsible for the quality, accuracy, and legality of the Target Data provided to Windsor Circle by or on behalf of the Customer; and the means by which Customer acquired such Target Data.  Unless otherwise specifically disclosed to and agreed to by Windsor Circle, the Target Data provided by Customer shall not include any sensitive or special personal data that imposes specific data security or data protection obligations on Windsor Circle that are different or in addition to those specified in the written agreement(s) between the parties and the Windsor Circle Privacy Policy.

By providing this data you acknowledge that the data you are providing is in compliance with the written agreement(s) between the parties and our privacy policy.
