API: HTTP Changing email address for Customer Key contact

The Update command does not work for Customer Key realms.  How do I change the email address of a contact in a Customer Key realm using the API?

Answer

To update the email address of a contact in a Realm using Customer Key, use the HTTP API Change command.  In versions after 9.2.0, the Update command does support use in Customer Key Realms.
