FTP Destination Configuration

Question

I am setting up an FTP Destination so reports from WhatCounts can be FTP'd to our corporate servers. Is there anything I should know before we set that up?

Answer

When configuring your FTP Destination, you will need the following:

• FTP Host
• Port
• FTP User
• FTP Password
• Directory

Both FTP and SFTP destinations are supported.

Please set up your FTP site to allow connections using Passive mode. The WhatCounts platform will not be able to connect to sites where Active mode is required. It is also recommended that uploading be allowed to the Home folder, as trying to traverse directories can cause issues. If you have the account set up in that manner, enter a forward slash (/) in the 'Directory' field.
